Here’s a contest for amateur photographers who love taking photos of great things to eat!

Whether you are at the farmers market, the China Town marketplace, in your backyard or kitchen get out your camera and take some memorable photos. Then enter them to win …

The grand prize consisting of a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT camera kit; or one of four runner-up prizes – a copy of F&W’s Best of the Best, Cocktails 2006 and Star Chefs on the Road books.

Open to amateur photogs who are legal US residents, 21+

OK … so I was very excited about this new contest until I saw the following clause hidden away in the “fine print.” BUMMER. If you enter this contest you are GIVING your photo away to them to do whatever they want with it, whether you win or not!

Any photograph entered in this Contest shall remain the exclusive property of Sponsor and entrant agrees that Sponsor and its designees shall have the perpetual, worldwide right to edit, publish and use the photograph in any way and in any media for trade, advertising, promotional and/or other purposes as Sponsor may determine in its sole discretion without further consideration to entrant or winner.

Thanks for telling us about this contest. In spite of your warning I am going to enter because I have hundreds of food photos and it would be NICE to have one of them published somewhere.

I love taking photos of food and people and food. Whenever I travel I come back with hundreds of photos of the food I’ve eaten, the markets and all the local fruits and veggies. I LOVE food.

Please find lots of food photo contests!! LOL

Here’s a thought for you. IF you have loads of food photos and they are good enough to enter into contests, maybe you should consider selling your photos? You could register with one of the online stock agencies, upload your photos and overtime make a few dollars by selling them.

I have another blog which is all about selling your photos … and funnily enough that is the name … go to Sell Your PHotos and see if this is of interest to you.

Another thing you could do with your photos is make them into greeting cards. I love this program and recommend it highly to all my clients because it is an excellent way to build and promote your business (products or services) and it is also great for any photographers who have loads of great photos!
