Well i am jealous…. very jealous .. I have not won anything in over 2 years. Congrates to all winners and just a note…. i moved to edmonton and today it sucked Woke up to the For letter word beginning with S so …. you may need your umbrella i need a snow shovel and a strong back…..

Cheryl! It sounds like YOU are the one in need of cheering up. I moved away from Edmonton to get out of the snow! I used to think Vancouverites were total wimps complaining about the rain. So now I’ve become one … a wimp that is, I think you have to live in Vancouver for 25 years before they consider you a Vancouverite!!

OK … so tell me you’ve been entering contests? I usually talk to people who tell me “I never win” then I find out they never enter. If you are entering, you can change your luck!

Check out either of these links … on the law of attraction, your luck will change when your “thinking” changes. There are reasons why people have winning streaks and loosing streaks. When you are winning you are thinking winning thoughts … “I am a winner.” When you are losing, we tend to think losing thoughts … “I never win.” It is my experience that you are thinking today is what you will get two weeks to a month from now. OK … so the “thinking” is only part of the equation … get or borrow one of the following resources …

Well, it wasn’t online but remebering that the only way to enter is to win I’ve been listening to the radio and calling when I can.

Last month I was caller #9 and won two tickets to see William Jefferson Clinton speak on Canada/US realtions when he’s here (Kelowna) next month. the tickets are worth $200.00 each!

This was really exciting for me b/c I knew how much $$$ the tickets were, and didn’t think I’d be able to attend, no matter how badly I wanted the chance to ask him a question or two……

Now I just have to think of the best question, I’ll probably only get one!

How cool, getting to ask Bill a question! Aren’t radio contests great!

Many people have no idea how good they are … because of the good odds of winning. First of all, the competition pool is restricted by the fact that the contests are only advertised locally, then more sorting comes from narrowing down to the stations audience, and then even further restricted by the small number of people who are willing to dial in.

Keep dialing. Keep winning!

PS. It is a beautiful sunny Saturday here in Vancouver. But keep the comments coming!

I’ve won two essay contests. The prizes were a book and an on-line photo journalism course. I just recently discovered your site. I’ve entered at least two contests from your blog. And passed a couple more on to friends. I look several times a week to catch anything new.

I have been contesting now for just over 3 years. In my first year I won a car. This was the best thing to happen as at the time I was driving a 20year old beater that badly needly replacing but my situation was not condusive to purchasing another vehicle. I have also won a cash prize of $100 (from a survey site), a doll collection for my daughter, a fancy new cordless drill/tool set for my husband, a local day cruise from Vancouver’s Coal harbour up the coast to Britannia beach, and various coupons worth over $500 toward everyday purchases.

For those who have not won or it’s been a while since the last win - keep plugging at it. My motto is “somebody has to win” and if you don’t enter it won’t be you.

Dear Melanie,

I have been extremely fortunate over the last year. I won a $500.00 food voucher from one of our local grocery stores, numerous movie passes, beautiful box with expensive perfume, Harry Potter DVD, CD and t-shirt PLUS $3,000. from YAK Communications towards a trip.

I started entering lots of contests after I heard you interviewed on our local radio station and then I also signed up for your Contest News. You have been a gift to me.
