I found a great new website for kids … encouragement for their creative talents.
Read, Write & Draw offers prizes for submissions from children based on a monthly story. Your child will finish the story in their own words and include a drawing (using any media) to accompany the story. All submissions are due or should be postmarked by the last day of the month. The winner’s story and drawing will be posted here two weeks later for all to see!
Entries may be submitted online, e-mailed or sent via regular mail. Prizes will be mailed to the winner before the end of the following month. There are no restrictions to the number of submissions you may enter. To qualify, your child must be between the age of 5 and 14 years old.
Prizes include gift cards from Walmart, Toy’s ‘R Us, McDonalds, savings bonds and cash.
Check it out, looks like a great place for kids to be. Bookmark it and return monthly for their new contests.

Just a reminder that you can also find loads of Cooking Contests in our databases. There are two sections … so be sure to check both.
Cooking Contests with Deadlines. These are one time only contests with a fixed deadline. Right now, there are a wide range of prizes up to a $50,000 CASH prize.
Cooking Contests - Ongoing. These are normally cooking related contests with monthly prizes awarded. Prizes for the ongoing contests are usually smaller than prizes for the deadline contests, however … this is a good place to get started because you can just keep on refining your recipes and you can enter them over again monthly (be sure to check the rules).

I love utilizing the “Laws of Attraction” in my personal life and in my business life. If you are an avid contester, you can utilize the “Laws” to increase your chances of winning.
If you are amongst the millions of people who have watched the movie, THE SECRET, you may have loads of questions as to what it is all about.
Bob Doyle was one of the people featured in the movie, and because he was getting so many questions he decided to record a short video answering a few of the most common questions.
The video is free … and I’m not sure how long he will keep it up, or whether it will continue to be free, so if you have five minutes go and watch Bob Doyle’s video now.
Check out Contest Guru’s page on “The Law of Attraction.” It lists some free and paid resources that will help you get started.
Melanie
PS. Why did the producers of “The Secret” feature Bob Doyle in their movie? Because he has one of the most acclaimed AND powerful wealth attraction programs in the world. He has produced more miracles with his program than anyone I know. I won’t tell you to buy this program, because that is your decision. BUT you at least owe it to yourself to take a serious look at what Bob has to say about Attracting Wealth.

Become a Winner Now!!
Those of you who have subscribed to my newsletter for any time, or who have read “Contest Guru’s Guide To Winning Sweepstakes” know that I believe in the Laws of Attraction.
The nutshell version of the Laws of Attraction is that you get what you think about most. However it is a little more complicated than that … because part of the thinking process is keeping in the right “state” of mind or the right state of “feeling.” For example, If you are thinking “I am a winner” and you FEEL like a loser … the feeling a loser part will win out!!
There is a reason people have winning streaks and losing streaks. It goes like this … you win something. You feel like a winner so you keep on winning. Then one day for some reason … some stupid person says to you … “you can’t just keep on winning!” And you say to yourself “they’re right, I can’t just keep on winning.” So the winning stops. And you are now in a loosing streak. Until one day you say to yourself (and believe it) yes … it is TIME for me to win again. And you do.
Sound complicated? The following resource is a hypnosis/ subliminal audio CD or download that will help you get and stay in the WINNING FRAME OF MIND you need to be in, in order to become a WINNER!

A few months ago, I was forced to turn off “comments” because I was getting bombarded with spam. Everything from spammers selling Channel handbags to very much worse.
I have just found and installed a blog plug-in called Akismet. This is supposed to get rid of spam and make sure none of my visitors have to bump into anything unpleasant.
Comments will still be moderated … so if you are a spammer, go away. You cannot use this blog to advertise your stuff.
If you are one of my many loyal readers, or a first time visitor … please leave comments and questions if you have them.

PS. I’m keeping my fngers crossed that this works … and that we can create a fun conversation about contests and contesting.
